UTAH DWS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Guardian EMT is an approved training provider through the Utah Department of Workforce Services (DWS). Eligible students may receive financial assistance to cover tuition and fees for their EMT training through Guardian EMT.

Veterans and their spouses may qualify for financial assistance through the Accelerated Credentialing Experience (ACE) Outreach Program, which helps veterans quickly gain industry-recognized certifications, including EMT training right here at Guardian EMT.

The Utah Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (UAEMT) offers scholarships to members and their children who are pursuing EMS certifications. Applicants must be current members for at least two preceding years to qualify. Applications are due by April 15, with awards announced at the annual training conference in May of each year.

To further support our students, Guardian EMT offers a special scholarship awarded to an outstanding student alumni of our EMT program for our Advanced EMT training course. This scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate exceptional dedication, leadership, and a strong passion for emergency medical services.

  • Award frequency: Once per quarter (four times per year)
  • Eligibility: Open to students enrolled in Guardian EMT’s EMT Basic course who show exceptional dedication to their craft, their peers, the Guardian ethos, and a commitment to EMS.
  • Application Process: Students must submit an application and a short essay on why they are pursuing a career as an EMT.

    The Guardian Angel scholarship covers the cost of AEMT tuition, additional items outside of tuition cost are not covered. Please see our EMT pricing page for more information on Advanced EMT training tuition.

We understand that upfront tuition costs can be a burden, we were in your position once and put ourselves through school. Which is why we put our students first and offer flexible, in-house payment plans to help our students afford their EMT training and still take care of themselves and their families. Our plans allow students to pay tuition in manageable installments throughout the program, making EMT training more accessible.
