The Training Ambulance

One real ambulance.
Yours to learn on.

Fully operational, road-licensed ambulances live in our Provo bay. Loading and unloading patients on a real power stretcher. Working in the tight space of a real module. Calling the radio from the captain's seat. You'll do all of it before the NREMT, not for the first time on shift.

The Course Catalog · One Roof · One Faculty

Every credential a Utah first responder needs, under one roof, one faculty, same standards top to bottom. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPR taught by individually certified instructors at our Provo facility.

Financial Aid · Four Paths to Paid

If you think you can't afford EMT school, read this.

Most Guardian students don't pay full sticker. Veterans don't. Career-changers under workforce programs don't. Hospital and fire department employees usually get reimbursed. Here are the four most common paths.

The Forge · On-Site Training Gym · Provo

The job is physical long before it's clinical.

Every other EMT school in Utah County hands you a textbook. Guardian hands you a sled. The Forge is our own training gym; same building as your classroom, coached by our own staff, and included with most packages.

Track 01

Headed into the fire service

Sled pushes, dummy drags and stair work in a weighted vest. Get fit for the fireground and the CPAT takes care of itself. Nobody fails that test on technique, they fail it out of breath on the third event.

Track 02

Headed into medicine

Lifting mechanics, posterior chain, and work capacity for hour eleven of a shift. Back injuries end EMS careers earlier than anything else does, and they're largely trainable against.

Not a Guardian student? You can still train here.

Our 6-week CPAT Prep course is $299 and open to anyone with a fire application in front of them, including students from other EMT programs. Twelve coached sessions, capped at twelve people, and we time you on Week 6, so you know your number before test day.

The people teaching you also ran a call this week.

You won't be taught by someone reading a chapter they didn't write. You'll be taught by clinicians who will tell you plainly when you're not ready, because they know what happens if you're wrong at 3 a.m.d.

Active flight medics, fire-based clinicians, and currently-deployed EMS supervisors who teach because they care what the next generation of Utah responders looks like. Every credential on this list is someone you'll actually learn from.

  • NREMT
    Test Writers
Faculty who currently author questions for the National Registry exam.
  • FIRE
    Department Medics
Active Utah fire-based paramedics teaching from this week's shift.
  • FLT
    Flight Medicine
Helicopter and fixed-wing critical care medics on faculty.
  • ED
    Hospital Clinical
Active ED clinicians supervising hospital-side rotations.

"I have just completed the AEMT course with Guardian EMT and I am beyond impressed. I have been to two different EMT schools before this where I came out unprepared. Guardian EMT was amazing — they made sure to teach us with the goal to pass the national test but to also be able to get a job and be fully prepared to work in the field."

"Beautiful practice ambulance to run practice calls. So much equipment and supplies to practice skills, unlike other EMT programs. Provided a ride-along with Spanish Fork Fire Department, BLS certification on the first day, and an amazing mock mass casualty incident during the class. Feel completely set up to take the NREMT."

"Being in Guardian EMT class was the best decision I've ever made. The hands-on training was more than you expect and really prepares you to go into the field directly from class. I now feel completely confident in my abilities to handle emergencies. If you're considering an EMT class, this is the one. It's simply the best."

"Maria and JT are masters at using all sorts of teaching styles to get their students through the program. They gave me and my classmates so much hands-on experience and knowledge. It's because of them that I have decided to work my way to being a paramedic — a goal I had never even dreamed of before now."

"I have taken several EMT classes. This one far exceeded my expectations. We were not just given packets and PowerPoints and books to read — we were given hands-on experience. Maria and JT helped me gain the confidence in myself."
